JT & JMT 520X2 Gold Chain & Sprocket Kit

Description

JMT is one of Japan's leading chain manufacturers and manufacture affordable high quality chains!

JMT's 520X2 chain with X-rings that seals the lubricant to the links and closes out dirt, dust and other damage that may damage the chain. This gives less friction and results in a chain with a significantly longer life than both a standard chain and an O-ring chain.

Supplied including rivet lock.

All JT sprockets are CNC-cut from high quality C45 Steel, which provides better precision and durability than most other sprockets, usually made by punching.

After milling, the sprocket is coated with a hard-enamelled surface that prevents corrosion, increases the service life and also delivers a fine finish.

Here's how to choose the correct sprocket and chain:

Resizing the front or rear is a very easy and popular way to change the nature of your motorcycle.

1: For better acceleration - Change to a smaller front drive, and / or a larger rear drive.

2: To get higher peak speed - Change to larger drive, and / or smaller rear drive.

You notice the same difference of changing 1 tooth as by replacing 3 teeth at the back.

On most motorcycles, one can notice a big difference in changing 1 tooth, and it is recommended to try out in small steps.

In order to maintain the right angle of the chain, you should allocate the changes between the propelled and the rear driven.

Change 1 tooth forward + 3 tooth rear instead of 6 tooth rear.

When you change the size of the drive, you may also need to change the length of the chain.

On almost all motorcycles, you can switch to 1 tooth larger or smaller front or rear wheels, yet retain the original length of the chain.

In case of changes greater than 1 tooth, you often need to change the length of the chain, then the following is a good basic rule to use:

If you switch to 2-gear larger drive, you need 1 link longer chain.

However, all chains are sold in 2-step increments, so you may need to cut the chain.

There is also a chance that you can not cut by adjusting the axle blocks at the wheel axle.

A link on the chain corresponds to an adjustment of 8-10mm at the axle block.

If you need 1 link longer chain and have the option to adjust 8-10mm at the axle block, then you can buy a chain that is 2 links longer and not cut the chain.

Suitable for bikes up to 700 cc.
