Snell & JMT 530X2 Chain & Sprocket Kit Gold

Description

The flexible drive package where you can choose the drive sizes yourself!

With the help of our Drive Guide, you can easily see which standard drive and chain length are original on your motorcycle. If you want original gear you choose the corresponding drive and chain in the list.

The drives:
All Snell drives are laser cut, unlike some other drives made by punching. In manufacturing, advanced technology is used to cut out the drives and to get a perfect cut that will increase the drive's durability. If you have good maintenance on the chain, you can expect a lifetime of + 3000mil, depending on the substrate. All Snell drives have a black anodized "Electroplated" surface which gives a fine finish and also increases the drive durability.

The chain:
JMT is one of Japan's leading chain manufacturers and manufactures affordable chains of high quality!

JMT's sealed and gold-colored 530X2 chain with X-rings that seal the lubricant to the links and shut out dirt, dust and other things that can damage the chain. This results in less friction and results in a chain with a considerably longer life span than both a standard chain and an O-ring chain.

Delivered including rivet lock.

Here's how to choose the right drive and chain if you want to drive:

Changing the size of the drive or the rear drive is a very simple and popular way to change the character of your motorcycle.

1: To get better acceleration - Change to a smaller front drive, and / or a larger rear drive.

2: To get higher top speed - Change to a larger drive, and / or a smaller rear drive.

You notice about the same difference of replacing 1 tooth forward as by replacing 3 tooth behind. On most motorcycles, you notice a big difference in changing one gear, and it is recommended to try it in small steps.
To maintain the correct angle of the chain, you should distribute the changes between the front drive and the rear drive. Rather, replace 1 gear in front + 3 rear teeth instead of 6 rear teeth.

When changing the size of the drive, you may also need to change the length of the chain.
On almost all motorcycles, you can switch to 1 gear larger or smaller front or rear drive, but still maintain the original length of the chain.

In case of changes greater than 1 tooth, you often need to change the length of the chain, then the following is a good basic rule to make use of:
If you switch to 2 gear larger drives, then you need 1 link longer chain.

However, all chains are sold in steps of 2 links, so you may need to cut the chain.
There is also a chance that you may not have to cut, by adjusting the axle blocks at the wheel axle.

A link on the chain corresponds to an adjustment of 8-10mm at the shaft block.
If you need 1 link longer chain and have the option to adjust 8-10mm at the shoulder block, then you can buy a chain that is 2 links longer or not have to cut the chain.
